Jana's head dipped a little as she blushed, the tips of her ears burning. "Umm. . hello." She managed to say, she wasn't used to flirtatious males looking at her. They normally paid a lot more attention to her sister, Sundancer. "It is very nice to meet you all."
She looked uncertainly at George. "I do not wish to impose, but if you wouldn't mind sharing knowledge, any help would be appreciated."
Inwardly, she cursed her shyness. She needed to get to know the locals a little better, so she could help her family fit in & be safe.
Part of her wished she could be more social like the beautiful red queen, but she knew behaving like that wouldn't suit her at all.
The Maine Coon looked at both males, & while she had nothing against Carnie, she thought George might be the easier one to get along with. Flirty males like Carnie tended to fluster her, as she never knew how to flirt back or how serious to take what they were saying.
"I have some knowledge of herbs & plants, but I am still a novice & learning, but if you have more important things to do, George, I do understand." She had to admit, his quiet gentlemanly manner was very appealing. She would likely enjoy his company & possible friendship, but she didn't want him to feel obligated to be in her company.

the scarlet queen gave a silent sigh, oh George! so proper! well still waters run deep and all that.
"well I'll help if I can but George really is much smarter than I am!"
Bomba said still smiling. she flicked a delicate cupped ear and stretched fluidly.
then she glanced at Carni "do you know about....herbs and things?" she asked in a soft breathy voice.

GeorgeHe shrugged his shoulders in a way he hoped would show that he didn't mind. "You are not imposing." His ears flicked in the direction of Bombalurina and what she had said. He briefly wondered why she as flattering him or talking him up. Though he could only assume it was just her flirty nature and that she meant nothing by it. In any case, to dwell on such wondering's were bound to get him into trouble. "Smart might be an overstatement." George spoke softly, the tiniest bit of embarrassment to his tone. Though one would have to really know George enough to pick that out. |

Carnivallie noticed that janice was more intrested in this george character. So he just let her slide away. After all hehad the more curvasious red queen who asked him a question. "Weelll .. I don't know that much about herb.... But i do know a lot of ....'things'." He said with a mischievious smile.

Bombas clear green eyes warmed "rrreally?" she purred.
then she stepped close, smiled and cocked her head.
"what...sort..of..things?" she asked she purred in a soft breathy voice.

Carnivallie smiled at the red queens reaction. Glad he still got the touch even overseas. Or she might just like to flirt. Either way,... He liked it. "Weeeel...." He said trying to match he sensuality and came very close to her but just not touching her except for her tail.... But thatwas her doing. "I like.... Fun things...... Exciting things...... Or even adventure ..... Things." He said slowely letting the words drift from his mouth as is he was tasting them.

the scarlet queens purr deepened, "oh...my," she said in a soft breathy tone her
clear green eyes gleaming. casualy she groomed herself and fluffed her silky fur.
the she visably stopped and regained her concentration.
"we will rrreally just have to talk about that some morrrrre," she purred,
"but to do so now would be rude, and Bomba hates to be rude! ahem now
we don't want to ignore the others....do we?"

Jana watched the red queen neatly wrap Carnie around her little finger using only some flattery & some flirty looks. Wow, some queens really had it all. she marveled, if she had tried that she would have just looked stupid. Carnie certainly didn't look as if he minded at all, now did he. He does remind me a little of Timothy, but certainly younger & probably less experienced. Well, what two grown cats did, was certainly none of her business.
Jana turned to George rather apologetically, "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I'm not nearly as exciting as your friend, but if you truly don't mind, I would like some help going over some of the local herbs. I'm new at this & I do find it all very fascinating." She realized he would probably prefer Bomba over her-what red-blooded male wouldn't? But she really would like to make some friends here.

GeorgeHe too noticed Carnivallie and Bombalurina flirting, though George had been relatively on good terms with Bombalurina for most of his life. Aside from that, George was aware of Bombalurina's reputation. He'd be a fool not to be. This was a scene he often saw between Bombalurina and any random male. His eyes were observing the entire scene. Rude...ignoring others? George inwardly rolled his eyes. They were already practically ignoring him and Janice in the first place. "There is more to friendship then excitement, Miss Janice." His voice, though didn't hint to any specific emotion, did display respect towards her. He did nod,"I am fascinated by the medicinal qualities to plants and herbs. As long as our current company does not mind, I'd be happy to take a walk with you in pursuit of such intriguing knowledge." He wasn't implicating that he wished to be away from the other two, but deep down he did. It had been peaceful looking and collecting the specimens on his own. As much as he did like company, Bombalurina had never had the same enthusiasm for such things, and Carn seemed more interested in landing a date then making friends or looking at flora.

the scarlet queen gave an ear flick and her mane a shake. she had caught a fleeting glimpse of something in George's face but it was gone before she could be sure.
George was so polite that sometimes hard for her to read compared to other toms.
she smiled at Gerorge and Janice, "so are you going to be takeing a den in the area Jannice? I can think of a few good ones..." she cocked her head fetchingly, "that is one of the things that I am good at."

Jana smiled, "We are hoping to. Up until recently we've lived in the city, & I'm afraid my sister finds the country a bit dull." She laughed inwardly at the understatement. A bit dull? How had Dancer put it, Screamingly boring?
"So this area is a good compromise. There are four of us in all."
She didn't elaborate on the relationships-letting the Jellicles draw their own conclusions.
She still wasn't sure what they had decided- there had been so much arguing over it. She was of two minds. If Macavity found out, that Hershel & Timothy, the mercenaries who supposedly had been the last ones to see Jana & Sundancer alive, suddenly had mates who just happened to be a Maine Coon & a Siamese? Macavity wasn't stupid. heck even their parents weren't that stupid.
She paused a little, uncertain. "Should we ask the local leader if it's all right that we settle here? We're not looking to cause any trouble." She wasn't sure of all the dynamics, but she could read small signs & from her observations, it looked as if Carnivallie was an outsider & George & Bombalurina both knew each other & belonged here.
"What do you think?" she asked quietly.

"ooooh I know just the place, if your not supersticious that is.
its a ruined chaple that the humans abandoned ages ago, I mean the walls and everthing are still good but it got sort of partialy buried and the humans couldn't get into it anymor you know? I gusse that they thought that building a new one was easier. but we can get in no problem! its weather tight and comfy, thing is it's in a cemetery," she said happily. then she gave a pleasently fluid shrug.
"but it is in neautral territory so as long as you say your hellos I don't think
Old D would mind, he's such a sweetie!"

((George isn't big on groups. And when he's part of a group he more so observe's then plays an active role. So just figured I'd exit him out instead of do a lot of posts where George doesn't talk.))

and looked at Carni and Jan aoplogaticly, "please don't take it personal he....just gets to know new folks at his own pace!"

Jana looked around a little disheartened, but tried to smile. She would have liked getting to know George, she understood not liking crowds though. He'd left her alone with two big flirts though!
"It's all right," she said. "Maybe he had something he needed to do." The Maine coon felt a little awkward though. Did Carnie want her to leave so he could flirt with Bomba? She wished fervently that Hershel was here. Then admonished herself. Hershel couldn't hold her paw, she was an adult & needed to learn to do things on her own! Then she sighed, Fighting her shyness was hard & it had only gotten worse after her kidnapping by Mac's people. Well, she wasn't going to run away, like a frightened kitten.
Determinedly, she looked at Carnie & Bomba with a sweetly shy smile. "Could you two show me where the churchyard is? I'd like to see it so I can show my mate."

the scarlet queens pretty face brightened in an instant her ears perking and a big smile flashing like the sun coming from behind a cloud.
she happily took Jannas arm, and said, "why sure! I'd love to I am sure that this is going to be just perfect for you and your mate, it's right this way!"
as she began to follow deed to word she glanced over her shoulder and purred to Carni, "coming?" as she artfuly swished and fluffed her tail with a wiggle.

Carnivallie was looking around him when he didn't saw george anywhere. Somehow to him he did seem familiar somehow. So he hoped to see George again one day. But his attention wa once again drawn toward the two lovely ladies infront of him ... Espacially the red one. "Euh... yeah, i'm coming." He said as the wiggeling of the red queens behind was working like a hypnosis pendal. And so he followed the two queen but stayed behind the two. "Euh. just a question Bombalurina? Can I also stay here at this junkyard for a while? i kinda need a place to stay" he said trying to stay focused with all the ... walking

The pretty Maine Coon smiled at Bomba. For a major flirt, she did seem very nice. She started to follow the red queen, feeling a little nervous about being followed by the strange male. Still, this Carnie, seemed much more interested in the lovely flirt than in her, so Jana started to relax a little.
Shyly she offered a little information, "Well there are four of us in all. Myself, my mate, his brother, & his brother's mate." They had decided to keep her & Dancer's relationship a secret. After all, they looked nothing alike & most wouldn't believe the relationship anyway. "So we'd need room for some privacy for each of us as well as a community area. Is this den large enough do you think?"
Jana didn't want to point out the fact that they needed a defensible strong den as well. No point in advertising the fact that they were in hiding.
She glanced back as Carnie asked if he could stay too, but didn't comment, assuming the question was meant for Bomba.
