Character Name: Victoria
Tribal Affiliation: Jellicle
Tribal Position: N/A
Age: 18
Gender: Queen
Family:
Mother: Whitemane
Father: Dosika
Brother: Mistoffelees
Physical Appearance:
Personality:
Loving: Victoria does not form attachments easily, but once she has, she is loyal to a fault. She adores and would do anything for her brother Mistoffelees, Munkustrap, Old Deuteronomy, and the circle of Jellicles she has known since kittenhood. She can be rather untrusting of newcomers (unless one of her close friends has reassured her) and Jellicles she isn't as close to, though. She is always polite and lady-like as she has learned from her rich humans, but apart from the barest necessities of manners she is quite cold and distant. She has no in-between where she pretends to be warm and friendly despite her feelings.
Quiet: She is not the most talkative of queens. Many think of her as painfully shy and meek. However, in reality, she simply doesn't wish to say anything if she has nothing important or helpful to say. She certainly does not just sit around talking about her past or her feelings, except with her brother or a good friend of adult she trusts.
Insecure: Though she and Misto were, as far as they know, born to the same parents, Mistoffelees has magic and Victoria does not. Secretly, she has always assumed that this is because she is somehow defective. Because of this, she feels the need to make up for her inferiority in various ways. Generally, she does this by way of her beauty and graceful movements.
Snobbish: Because of her need to make up for her "defectiveness," Victoria often comes across as vain and prideful - and, truthfully, she truly is at times. The humans she lives with do not help matters. They are a snooty, rich family, and from them she learned to be ladylike and mannerly, it's true - but she also learned to put on airs. As such, she sometimes overly flaunts her beauty or her dancing skills. And sometimes (though usually by accident) she ignores others and makes them feel inferior.
History: Victoria has lived in the Junkyard with the Jellicles for as long as she can remember. She and her brother, Mistoffelees, were found as tiny, hungry, mewling kits abandoned near the railway station. Skimbleshanks discovered them and brought them to the Jellicles, where several of the adults, most especially Jellylorum and Jennyanydots, cared for and raised them. They lived a happy life there, hardly a care in the world. When she became big enough to start toddling about and exploring, one of the first Jellicles Vicki encountered was Munkustrap. He was the first Jellicle she really knew, besides Jelly and Jenny, and for whatever reason, she took it upon herself to become the poor tom's shadow and follow him everywhere. Now, of course, she's too old and ladylike to behave in such a foolish manner, but she still can't deny that she very much likes and admires Munkustrap - and is rather shy about talking to him because of this.
Misto's magical abilities weren't discovered until the kits were older. It was then that he began to be able to do strange, impossible things, and it was then that Victoria began to question whether they could really be related. Though she has never voiced this concern to Mistoffelees, and knows that it doesn't really matter, as they love one another as siblings no matter what, the idea that she is not gifted like her brother saddens her deeply.
As an older kitten, Victoria grew bolder and took to leaving the Junkyard at times to explore the city - though never alone, usually with her brother as chaperone. The two would peek into stores and house windows, curious and interested about the ways of humans. It was a harmless activity as far as they were concerned; lots of Jellicles did it and the humans didn't usually seem bothered. One day, their wanderings took them farther than usual, to a part of the city where everything seemed bigger and newer somehow. Intrigued, the two became more careless than usual, and lingered at a particular window too long. Both dove into a bush, but not before being seen. A young female human came out and finally coaxed them out of their hiding place with some tasty morsels. The two kits, being accustomed to mice and whatever they could find in the rubbish heaps, could not resist the delicious smell - and besides, they figured they could run faster than a human if it came to that. But then, before they had time to react, the human had picked up Victoria and carried her into the house! For days, Misto dashed back and forth between the house and the 'Yard, trying to figure out a way to "rescue" his sister, while most of the other cats laughed at him, knowing that, from the way Misto described the situation, Vicki would be perfectly fine. They proved to be right. A few days later, Victoria returned to the Junkyard, now wearing a beautiful, jeweled pink collar, and explained laughingly to a worried Misto that she had been "adopted." Now she lives a nice "double-life" between her humans' house and the 'Yard, staying at one or the other as it takes her fancy. And, truth be told, she enjoys having her humans to make her feel important, since she is not "special" like Mistoffelees.
Powers: None for now, though she may later on discover that, contrary to what she believes, she does have some sort of powers - just different from Mistoffelees'. I don't know what those would be, but who knows what you might discover along the way in the RPing world. ^_^

Victoria was
running—running as though her life depended on it. But then, it
probably did. She had no idea where she was; it didn't matter.
She had to keep running. She thought she heard the ginger cat's
heavy breathing behind her. She didn't look back to see; only ran
faster. The white kitten had never been more terrified in all of her
young life. Macavity's invasion of the junkyard during the
Jellicle Ball came close, except for one thing—she hadn't had to
run for her life that time. Why? Why me? Then she let loose
a loud, manic laugh as she remembered her words the day her
relationship with Plato ended: "I'd sooner go out with—with
Macavity than any of you!" Eating her words, now, was she? And she ran still faster.
Why not Electra or Etcetera or Jemima or—or anyone else
but me? Immediately she felt guilty for thinking it. She
wouldn't wish this on anyone—not even that monstrous
jerk-of-a-queen Cassandra. Certainly not her best friends or
her sister. But I wouldn't wish this on me, either... Suddenly, the little queen skidded to a stop in
front of a brick wall. No! She pounded the wall furiously.
Why hadn't she paid attention? She'd run herself straight into
an alley, a dead end! Slowly, she turned around, dreading what she
might see. Then she looked again, to make sure she hadn't missed
something. Macavity wasn't there, and yet she'd been certain
he'd been following her so closely he could almost trod on her
tail. Maybe she'd lost him when she'd run down that alley? But
he could still be out there…looking for her. Victoria was
stuck. She'd have to stay here until the ginger cat gave up—or
found her. Of course, she had no way to know when it was safe to
come out. And even if she did, she had no idea where she was. Her
only hope was that her fellow Jellicles would find her before she got
recaptured; or starved to death. But they have no idea where to
look. But Munkustrap…he could always be depended on.
He was always there to come to the rescue. If someone called for
him, the call never went unheeded. "Munkustrap?" she whispered.
"Munkustrap," she dared to raise her voice. Then there was
Mistoffelees, her sweet brother Mistoffelees, her magical Mistoffelees.
He'd promised never to let anything happen to her. If he was so
magical, wouldn't he hear her? "Mistoffelees!" This
time, she shouted outright. Then she remembered that Mungojerrie and
Rumpelteazer had rescued Demeter before. "Twins?" She even
tried calling, "Mummy?" No Munkustrap, Mistoffelees, twins, or
Jellylorum came running to the rescue.
Comments: She's pretty...can dance beautifully...that's about her only "power."
