Tribal Position: Healer/Lilly Cat
Physical Description: Jelly is a butter yellow calico with gold & black accents. She is slender & fairly short, around 5'2”. While her face is rather plain, she has beautiful Golden/Green eyes.
Age: Late twenties
Gender: Female
Family: Unknown, Surrogate Father: Gus Sr. Jelly was found as a tiny stray kitten on one of the theatre troupe's tours, & she was brought to the yard by Gus Sr. Not knowing her family, he raised her as his own & she loves him dearly.
Personality: While she is caring with a good heart, she doesn't suffer fools gladly & can be sharp with those who do not listen to her. She can be highly protective of Gus Sr & overprotective of the younger members of the tribe, such as Jemima, Etcetera & Victoria. While not fearless, this can cause her to behave in a somewhat reckless manner if those she cares for are endangered, & she does have a hot temper. This temper is leavened by a dry sense of humor & a sense of the ridiculous. She doesn't mind jokes & often will turn the tables on a perpetrator teasing her (i.e. Mungojerry/Rumpleteaser, among others) with a completely straight face.
While bold publicly, she can be a bit shy about her appearance & likely won't make the first move in a romantic setting.
History: When Jellylorum was only a few days old, she was abandoned by her family? Human? She doesn't know. It's possible the abandonment was an accident as well, but by this time it's rather hard to tell. Fortunately for the tiny kitten, Gus Sr heard her crying in an alley behind the theater where he & his troupe were playing. Instantly falling in love with the little one, he & his troupe cared for her, & she became a fixture of the group until Gus' retirement to the yard, then she elected to stay with him. If needed, though, the troupe can call on her for help as she still considers them extended family.
During one of their extended tours on the continent, met an older tom named Miyagi, a handsome Bengal/Siamese mix. He was her first love, & he got her interested in oriental philosophies, touch healing, medical techniques & herbal medicines. Sadly, their relationship came to an end when his human moved on unexpectedly taking Miyagi with him, & they never saw each other again.
Jelly's love of medicine remained & she has added to her learning during her many years with the theatre troupe & then later here in Britain at the yard.
Currently, she has no mate, & isn't looking for one, but she's had a bit of a crush on Mungojerry & thinks Tugger may be almost as cute as he thinks he is. She also has strong feelings for Bombalurina, Demeter & Jennyanydots, but she's unsure if they are romantic emotions or not, but she does love them dearly. She also greatly enjoys George's company & likes his sweet respectful manner.

RP Sample: “Rumpleteazer hold still!” Frustrated with the wiggling queen, she reached up & tapped a nerve cluster causing the queen to freeze in her tracks from the neck down. Working swiftly she pulled out as many of the painful thorns as possible, because the nerve pinch would only last a few minutes. Ignoring Teazer's caterwauling, she doused the area with iodine & put a soft bandage on it.
Then she released the pressure on the nerves before any damage was done. “There my dear, dare I ask, how you feel now, & how did you get all these thorns in your backside anyway??” she asked dryly fully expecting the her to fib her fur off about the little adventure which caused the striped queen to dance intimately with a rose bush.
Comments: She became interested in medicine & often toured with the troupe learning a great deal about herbal healing, veterinary medicine & many touch healing techniques such as acupuncture/pressure & massage. As Gus got older the care-taking reversed, & she began to care for him the way he'd always taken care of her, causing her to become interested in learning more about the care of older cats & their specific needs. During her sojourn with the troupe, she became adept at acting, singing dancing, sewing & learned all manner of theatrical skills.
