Age: 26
Gender: Male
Family: Colbalt-younger brother
Personality: Rumpus is a modest and humble individual. At the ball he does put on a big show, but really it is only to entertain the jellicles. Munkustrap who knows him best (if that is ok with whomever plays him on here.) knows he is not an attention hog. Rumpus enjoys a good joke as much as the next jellicle, which is why he participates in the peeks and the pollicles.
Rumpus is also a true and honest jellicle. He does not wish to be judge and jury but will be if necessary. Rumpus roams the streets of London, making sure the jellicle cats of the streets are safe. Everyone needs a hero to look out for them. Rumpus cat would never openly call himself a hero. He is not special. He only follows his virtues and moralities. The fact that his white chest had a rather odd shaped black R in it was strictly coincidence. His eyes were red, however they never glowed. He found a human pair of glasses that made his eyes look big. He wore them to the ball for dramatic effect. His eyes were truly red, he is not sure why. He can see perfectly fine, and they are like anyone else. Rumpus is truly very muscular. Their is no allusion there. He is very strong and very tall. It was rumored there was another like him. Completely black, with the bluest eyes. He had yet to see him. But he knew he had a brother out there somewhere. Just unsure where.
His strength is great, something most had never seen. It seemed to be only surpassed by the power of his heart. He believes in justice. Justice for the weak who can not defend themselves. He would never sit idly by while someone was in trouble.
History: Rumpus does not remember very much about his kitten hood. Vaguely he remembers being born in a human building. His mother was coal black with a white chest. She had beautiful dark blue eyes. Very rare with black cats. His fathers were just as rare. He was a black tom as well, with very random white patches. His eyes were as red as his own. For some reason, he remembered a lot of fear with where they lived. Something with a ginger tom. That tom, Rumpus later found in his teen years was called Macavity.
His mother was expecting again. Rumpus was so excited to be a big brother. Waiting with his father in the other room, his mother gave birth to another boy. He was much larger then what Rumpus was as a kitten. His mother wore a brave face when they came in. She had many blankets on her. Yet she was practically sweating and panting. She told Rumpus to come see his little brother. She had said his name, but Rumpus could not remember. The little black tom opened his eyes, and they were the same deep blue as his mothers. Rumpus saw his father looked worridly at his mother. Then loud noises and screams sounded next. His father tried to fight off the black cats that came in. Rumpus was confused, these were kin...weren't they? His mother screamed and the male kit started to cry. Rumpus tried to defend his mother as best he could. He was only a kit. He kicked and bit at the toms. But soon one knocked him out. He awoke outside the building. His father beside him on the ground. He crawled over and to his relief the tom was alive.
Rumpus was told his mother was dying in the room when they saw the new kitten. She was torn when he was delivered. It happened sometimes with large kittens. He was told not to blame his baby brother that he was a miracle just as he was. Rumpus took in the information as bravely as he could. He also learned why the black toms came in. They wanted his baby brother. Because his pelt was coal black. And he was going to be a large cat. His father then explained the leader of their tribe. Macavity.
His father taught Rumpus never to be consumed by hatred. Let go prevail. Never let an innocent suffer. Rumpus took his fathers words to his heart. He trained with his father. Growing large and learning how to fight. As an adult he became friendly with the jellicles. More importantly he became dear friends with a silver and black tabby. (Again if cool with whomever plays Munk). They concocted the to make up the story on the pekes and the pollicles. He felt normal with the jellicles. But he also felt as if they were family.
Powers: No supernatural powers. His brute strength is a gift of genetics and working out. A strength surpassed only by the power of his heart.
RP Sample:A muscular black figure moved in the shadows. He covered his white chest until he got closer to the scene. Just as he suspected. Two alley toms harassing a young queen. Soon they had grabbed her to pin her down. He stood straight up in the shadow. He spoke in a warning and menacing tone,
"Unhand her" He growled. When the toms looked over, they saw the white patch practically glowing against the darkness and the jagged R in the middle. They also saw his red eyes. Rumpus cat stepped forward. The first tom released his hold on the queen and took a swing. Rumpus caught the fist in his own. Squeezing tightly the male cried out in pain and dropped to a knee. The black hero, never batted an eye. He then bent down and picked up the tom, one paw gripping his shoulder, the other gripping his thigh. He lifted the tom and swung him around, tossing him roughly into the side of a dumpster. The male sunk to the street and blacked out. The second tom released the queen and took off without his friend.
"Coward" Rumpus called after him. He looked down at the frightened queen and offered his paw.
"I will not harm you miss" He said softly. His deep base sounded calm and trusting. She took his paw and Rumpus helped her up. After she thanked him, he took her to her den. After he left he felt good. He saved an innocent from pain and suffering. He clapped his paws together and rubbed them,
"That is a decent start to my night" He grinned and took to the shadows again.
