Physical Description: She is a slender queen, but not tall. She is about 5'3” & approximately 120lbs. She has plenty of feminine curves, but they are subtly understated. Her fur is black with gold symmetrical patterning & her eyes are large & emerald green. She keeps her mane long with intricate little braids on either side to keep it tidy.

Gender: Female
Family: Father, deceased, Mother, deceased, Bombalurina, half-sister through her father. The only family Demeter was ever close to was her father & later her sister, Bomba. Her father raised her alone & gave her to the care of the tribe while she was still a princess. He disappeared & has been presumed dead. She met Bombalurina when she joined the tribe, & they became fast friends as well as sisters. She is not related to Jemima as she & Bomba share a mother, & Demeter & Bomba share a father, but she does adore Jemi & considers her a sister in spirit if not in blood.
Personality: Demeter has always had quiet Courage & an Indomitable spirit which has developed further into a firm Stubborn streak from the experiences she has suffered under Macavity's paw. Living with a death sentence (that many don't even believe she is even under) has also given her an odd sense of Humor. While she was young, she had an extremely curious nature-wanting to know everything about whatever or whomever caught her interest. After her experiences with Macavity, now that curiosity in a large part has turned to suspicion & a certain wariness of strangers. (some consider her paranoid & perhaps she is, but she feels she has reason to be) but she is also extremely Loyal & Loving to those who have won her trust.
History: Raised in the yard as the supposed 'only' child of her father, her childhood was happy & she loved playing with Deuteronomy's children along with all the other kittens. Bright & curious, she was always teasing Macavity trying to get him to play with them, but being solitary by nature, he rarely joined them. That never stopped her from trying, however. His very differences fascinated her endlessly.
Later, Demeter was surprised, but very pleased to find she had a sister when Bombalurina joined the tribe. By this point, she had been gently directed into singing & dancing by the matrons & found she was good at it. She was overjoyed to discover Bomba loved singing & dancing too. Without a mother figure, Demeter became close to both the healer's den matrons, Jennyanydots & Jellylorum. She considers them her mothers in the best sense of the word. She became even closer to them after her father disappeared & was presumed dead. She does miss him & wonder about his fate from time to time.
As a young teen, she developed a bit of a crush on Macavity, something he never encouraged, actually he never even noticed. She began to follow him-especially when he started slipping away from the yard. A bit jealous, she figured he was meeting another female & burned to find out who. She never imagined the horror of what she found out that day. After hearing all his plans her tender feelings for him turned to fear, & she fled to the safety of the yard. RP Sample: (Set Before the fateful Jellicle Ball)At first, Demeter laughed at Bombalurina's suggestion. Then stopped, & actually thought about what she had said. She knew full well Bomba was a lot smarter than people gave her credit for.
“So, you think the answer to very few people believing Macavity's up to no good is to write & perform a song about his deeds?”
She bit her lip considering the idea from every angle, then her face lit up in a smile. “That's brilliant! Every time I try to 'tell' them they dismiss it as imagination-despite everything that happened. This way, the song will trickle into their heads, & eventually they won't even remember the source of the information.”
She gave Bomba a big hug. “Thank you love, you've made me feel a lot better!”
Comments: Demeter has been training herself very quietly in the art of 'sneak & peak' she keeps herself in top physical condition & has been considering applying to Jerrie & Teazer for lessons in the art of cat burglary.
