Incase anyone wonders, my wifi adapter killed itself today. I managed to make a tempoary bridged connection, but until I can get a cable to plug into the internet directly, I'm offlined until further notice.
EDIT #1: OK, I now have a cable connection, but I am limited to a single room, got two stores lined up to do the replacement of the dead wifi card. I was given a step by step list of what do try to eliminate other options to find the source of the problem. Tomorrow {Eastern American time} I will be taking my laptop, known as Winter, to the local Computer chopshop for repairs over the afternoon {I plan on dropping the laptop off at 1225 hours eastern american time, and picking up four to five hours later around 1700 hours.}
If I MUST do so, I wont be able to post tomorrow night due to waiting to pick up the laptop the day after tomorrow {friday the 9th August 2013} Once again all times are eastern american.
EDIT #2: OK, I went to the local store and asked them their thoughts, did each step they recommended, they could not do anything from that point, however they gave two more recommendations at this moment which I am looking into at this time. At this moment I have a connection, but it is very weak, but there and enough to get here and other places. Nothing heavy duty as yet until I know for sure what I have to do next. At this moment cleaning the inside of the laptop seems to have helped, for now.

OK, I got a cable and am plugged in, for the moment, I'm trying a few tests to see if I need a new wifi adapter card for my laptop. the place not far from my parents place, --where I am writing this post from-- has the part in stock! However they gave some options to eliminate for the time being.
But for now I am plugged into my parents network and pretty much locked to one room. I may ask my mother if I can borrow her laptop for the evening, but we shall see. {so used to Dell machines, not used to Toshiba in any manner}
