As the grand vessel was tied to the main dock the many people gathered on deck were clearly from other lands. One of which stood out. To the humans on the vessel he was broadshouldered, tall, strong, and clearly a Mongolian fellow of some sort. Dressed in silver, black and dark blue robes and carrying a pair of straight blades on his back and his face covered in shadows from his hood. He was known to the humans on board simply as The Traveler. The large man was halfway down the gangway as the gnagplank was settling into place to allow those onboard to disembark.
Wanderlust was in his heart at all times. And he never was able to make one place his home since starting his travels. First on the Silk Road as a merchant, traveling from Ulaanbatarr in Mongolia to Beijing and down to Hong Kong and then to Shanghai, and then over to Tokyo and back to Russia at Moscow before returning to Ulaanbataar.
Finally his travels took him westwards. From his homecountry he traveled by the way of the silk road, wandering shortly after meeting the Stranger who had managed to best him in none lethal combat. The Stranger was gentle, stern, skilled. And rather kind and knew skills that the Traveler did not. And yet both fought for several long minutes before the Traveler was overcome and beat in battle. A good sparr.
Stepping onto solid ground the Traveler headed for the market proper that filled the docks with people. Men came to him offering taxi trips to explore the city for a fee of ten to twenty pounds or Francs, whichever the Traveler possessed at the time. Each time, in very poor english the Traveler said simply, "No thank you." In a strong mongolian accent. He had to say it many times, each time it got easier to say. And very soon he could have it memorised.
Finally he found what he sought on the market proper, a good five peirs from the dock which his ship had anchored. Upon entering the strangely designed mongolian traders house. The Traveler went right to the counter. "Jai'sen, sampeyan kudu sandi kabar ? {Jai'sen, you have my notice ?}" He asked
"Ah! Chromechaser! Aku iki diwiwiti kanggo wonder nalika padha kanggo kasedhiya! {Ah! Chromechaser! I was beginning to wonder when you were to arrive!}" The shop owner replied as Chromechaser removed his hood. Most mongolians knew of the strange man known simply as Chromechaser. They did not know of his true being, only those in the Jellicle's human family knew the truth.
"Cut menyang Jai'sen Chase, sampeyan tak sandi kabar, kowe duwe lodging sandi ? {Cut to the chase Jai'sen, you got my notice, do you have my lodging ?}" Chromechaser asked as he removed his hood.
The shop keeper shook his hand and replied. "Aku ora wedi. Ana lodging kene apa perlu. Nanging. Ana sawetara wilayah ora adoh saka kene sing bisa cocog karo kabutuhan sampurna. {I am afraid not. There is no lodging here for what you require. However. There are some areas not far from here that may suit your needs perfectly.}" He explained
"Pundi ? {Where ?}" Chromechaser asked.
"Sampeyan ora bisa kantun punika, gedhe Warehouse Komplek, suwene pemilik iki matèni geni ing mobil sing sawetara sasi maneh, kutha ndarbeni iku, aku liwati bebarengan Panjenengan syarat kanggo kutha, padha diwenehake sing lease kanggo anggere sampeyan kudu spasi. {You cannot miss it, large warehouse complex, last owner was killed in a car fire a few months back, city owns it, I passed along your requirements to the city, they granted you the lease for as long as you need the space.}" The shop keeper replied setting on the counter before Chromechaser a deed of some form, the main details were already signed over to the Mongolian Trading Company that Chromechaser's human owned and let Chromechaser travel with.
"Matur nuwun. {Thank you.}" Chromechaser said, taking the deed, the directions to get to the place {written in perfect Javanese for the cat to understand} and sliding both into the sleeves of his tunic as he made ready to leave once more.
The shopkeeper nodded and then asked "Saiki kita wis sing dienggoni. punapa ingkang badhe kersa mangan master enom ? {Now that we have that settled. what would you like to eat young master ?"
"Menehi kula Panjenengan daging paling apik, luwih ora iwak, aku wis kabeh aku bisa saiki weteng ing sandi kapal ping {give me your best meats, preferably not fish, I had all I can currently stomach on my ship in." Chromechaser replied. The shop keeper nodded and got busy.
Ten minutes later and The Traveler was off to inspect where he was to stay.
